Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah is our national hero. He is the founder of Pakistan. He was born at Karachi in the house of a merchant named Jinnah Poonja. After completing his education, he proceeded to England to study law. He joined Indian national congress in order to free his country from the England rule. He was a great supporter of Hindu Muslim unity, in the beginning. But soon he came to know that his Hindu leaders were narrow-minded and was not prepared to give a fair deal to the Muslim league.

He demanded a separate homeland for the Indian Muslims and at last succeeded in achieving it on 14th August, 1947. He became the first governor General of Pakistan. But day and night hard work told upon his health and he died on 11th September, 1948. Our Quaid-e-Azam was a man of character. Even his opponents acknowledged his honesty and integrity.
